NECK: Hackle – brassy with slender black stripe through center of each feather. Front of Neck – black.
BACK: Brassy with some luster.
SADDLE: Brassy with slender black stripe through center of each feather.
TAIL: Main Tail – black with greenish sheen, shafts black. Sickles, Lesser Sickles & Coverts – black with brilliant greenish sheen.
WINGS: Shoulders & Fronts – black. Bows – brassy with some luster. Coverts – brilliant greenish black, forming a distinct bar across wing. Primaries – black. Secondaries – black, lower web edged with brass.
BREAST: Lustrous black.
BODY & STERN: Black.
LOWER THIGHS: Black.
UNDERCOLOR: Light slate in all sections.

HEAD: Chocolate black tinged with light brass over skull.
NECK: Hackle – lustrous chocolate black. Front of Neck – brassy.
BACK & CUSHION: Brassy chocolate, each feather with bright brassy shafting.
TAIL: Main Tail – black with some luster, shafts black. Coverts – black.
WINGS: Shoulders, Fronts, Bows and Coverts – same as back. Primaries – black, shafts, black. Secondaries – black, lower web edged with brass.
BREAST: Brassy salmon.
BODY & STERN: Body, chocolate buff; stern, brassy.
LOWER THIGHS: Chocolate buff.
UNDERCOLOR: Light slate in all sections.
Disqualifications
More than one appearance of more than one half inch of positive white in any section of plumage.
Defects
Excessive light fluff at base of male tail – purple sheen or purple barring in plumage – absence of brassy shafting in back of female.
